Phases of the Project:

  1. Cleaning

    • The initial phase of our project involves thorough cleaning. This includes clearing out debris, dust, and any remaining items from the previous occupants. Our aim is to create a clean and blank canvas for the upcoming renovations.

  2. Pointing the House

    • Following the cleaning phase, the next step is to conduct pointing work on the house. Ensuring the structural integrity of the building through pointing, we lay a strong foundation for the renovation work to come.

  3. Architect Planning

    • Once the cleaning and pointing phases are complete, the project moves into the architect planning stage. This crucial step involves working closely with Juanito (our arquitecto) to design and layout the blueprint.

Tile Hunting Adventure: Unearthing 1910s Treasures

As we venture into the charming local markets and antique shops near Sitges, the thrill of discovering exquisite tiles from the 1910s drives our search.

The vivid colours and intricate patterns tell stories of a bygone era, each design a reflection of the craftsmanship that characterised the period.

This tile hunting expedition is more than just a quest for beautiful materials—it is a journey into the soul of the house, intertwining its past with our vision for its future. Each discovery reinforces our commitment to transform this derelict building into a sanctuary of warmth and sophistication, where guests can appreciate both history and comfort. The excitement of what lies ahead is palpable, as the tiles become a tangible representation of the legacy we are dedicated to creating.

In the cool, dark cellar, a hidden cup waits. Made of earthenware, it holds the first drops of juice from freshly pressed grapes. Here, time slows as the sweet, tangy juice starts to become wine. The cup may seem simple, but it's important; it’s where wild yeasts interact with the sugary juice, beginning the fermentation process. As bubbles form and scents emerge, this hidden piece reflects the vineyard's essence, promising rich flavors to come. Over the years, the wine gains character, but it’s in this quiet space, rich with history, that the wine discovers its true self. The hidden cup symbolizes nature’s creativity, patiently waiting to reveal its secrets.
